Ex e Increased Safety is an explosion protection method used in hazardous areas. It ensures that electrical equipment doesn’t produce sparks, arcs, or excessive heat that could ignite flammable atmospheres. Spark- producing devices are excluded, and equipment is housed in impact-resistant enclosures to prevent ignition risks.
Flameproof (Ex d)
Flame proof Ex d is an explosion protection concept applied to the installation to ensure components that can ignite an explosive atmosphere are housed in an enclosure that in the event of an explosion of an explosive mixture inside withstands the pressure and prevents transmission of the explosion to the atmosphere surrounding the enclosure. The enclosure is strong enough to withstand internal explosion. It allows Internal ignition source like sparks & hot spots(limited).
